The bicycle chain has to be the least glamorous, yet possibly the most important component the drivetrain. It is one of the highest stressed parts of the drivetrain and must be regularly cleaned, lubricated and replaced. Chains should be selected according to the number of cogs on the cassette (speeds), manufacturer and chain length.
