100% S2 glasses from the Tokyo Night edition, originally planned only for athletes at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. However, since the glasses did such a good job at the Olympics, 100% decided to provide their performance for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics as well.
Tokyo Night Design: when you first look at the frame, you'll notice the 100% logo radiating from the stunning translucent grey, which is highlighted by purple rubber grips. Each piece is electrified with a purple multi-layered mirrored lens. The lens features a category 2 filter and high-resolution optics that provide color and contrast enhancement, which makes the glasses suitable for both sunny, cloudy and winter skies.
The S2 100% model from the well-known brand was designed in California. The glasses feature a lens made of lightweight and durable polycarbonate and provide high-impact protection.
The cylindrical shape of the 5.5-base lens provides better peripheral vision and protection. The magnified visor provides 360° visibility for unobstructed vision and a maximum field of view.
The lens technology increases ventilation while reducing moisture and preventing fogging. In addition, they have a hydrophobic and oleophobic treatment, making them repel water, dirt and oil.
The lens is interchangeable and provides 100% UV protection (UV400).
The frame is made of TR90 material, which makes it lightweight, durable and flexible. The rubber nose pad and ultra-grippy temple tips ensure a secure fit no matter how much you sweat.
Grilamid TR 90 is a very lightweight, flexible and durable polyamide, which is superior to classic polycarbonate. It is a transparent polyamide made from a mixture of different artificial resins. It is characterized by a very low weight, high elasticity and strength, which are propertie many materials do not have. TR90 is more durable than polycarbonate, and also has shape memory (after bending it returns to its original shape). It can be found in better quality and more expensive sports eyewear. Recently, it has also become more popular in casual eyewear.
