Alpinestars A-Motion Plasma protective vest (short sleeve) combines flexibility with well-thought-out protection, making it suitable for mountain biking, gravel, road riding, and bikepacking, where intensity and conditions can change. Protectors with Nucleon PLASMA technology are designed to effectively absorb impact energy while remaining flexible, so they won’t hold you back in arm movement or when breathing hard on climbs. High breathability thanks to the stretch mesh helps keep you comfortable even on long ascents or on warmer days. A non-slip hem with a silicone backing keeps it securely in place on the body, along with a central zipper that won’t creep during the ride.
The foundation of the construction is stretch mesh fabric—a comfortable, highly ventilated stretch mesh that supports airflow and natural movement of the torso and shoulders. The protector pockets are covered with abrasion resistant outer textile, a durable outer fabric that increases longevity in the most stressed areas. Closure is handled by a YKK locking zipper, a lockable zip for a secure hold and clean ergonomics while riding. Protection is provided by removable shoulder and back protectors certified to CE Level 1 (shoulders to EN 1621-1:2012 Level 1 and back to EN 1621-2:2014 Level 1), and it’s also complemented by split Nucleon PLASMA Lite chest paddings for broader coverage of this sensitive area.
