Campagnolo SHAMAL CARBON DB are the first wheelsets specifically developed for endurance races and long rides. These wheels carry the legacy of the iconic SHAMAL name.

From their inception, Shamal wheelsets have been synonymous with innovation, advanced research, and new technologies. In 1992, Campagnolo introduced the first version of these wheels, offering the cycling race world its first high-profile rim wheelsets. The new SHAMAL CARBON DB wheels embody an identical approach focused on enhancing cyclist performance during long hours in the saddle and ensuring comfort and control in any conditions.

SHAMAL CARBON DB are the first wheelsets developed by Campagnolo specifically for endurance races and long rides both on and off the road (the wheels are suitable for road cycling, cyclocross, gravel, and trekking). With their rim width (internal width 21mm), these wheels can accommodate wider tires that offer greater comfort.

The SHAMAL CARBON DB wheels are ideal for tires with a width of 25, 28, and 30 mm; however, thanks to their construction, they can be fitted with tires up to 65 mm in width. This makes the SHAMAL CARBON DB wheels perfect all-around wheels, suitable for a wide range of tires from road to gravel.

Thanks to the 2-Way Fit technology, Campagnolo ensures complete compatibility with both standard clincher tires and tubeless/airless tires. The use of patented MoMag technology ensures that there are no holes on the rim beneath the tube, which results in lower weight, increased stiffness, and the ability to use tubeless tires. Maintenance and cleaning of tires when replacing them have never been easier.

Another innovation is the rims made from unidirectional High Modulus carbon fiber with different profiles/heights for the front and rear wheels: a height of 40 mm for the rear wheel ensures maximum responsiveness and overall power transfer. A height of 35 mm for the front wheel contributes to the most reliable control. The wheel rims are not color-coated, which only highlights their highest quality craftsmanship and the materials used.

The carbon rims are complemented by new aluminum hubs with an adjustable bearing system, which is very lightweight and high-performing. This option offers lower rolling resistance and allows for easy adjustability of the bearings, eliminating any play between the ball bearings and their cones, ensuring an extremely functional and durable system. For SHAMAL CARBON DB wheel hubs, a conversion kit to a bearing system USB or CULT is also available.

Reliability - a key element for worry-free use of all wheelsets - is guaranteed by the wheel construction using a patented G3 spoking, which ensures excellent wheel balance and safe braking in any conditions.

The SHAMAL CARBON DB wheelsets are completely hand-assembled by Campagnolo's specialized technicians, and their final inspection is 100% conducted using electronic instruments. This process ensures maximum performance and reliability.
