The latest generation Cervélo S5 frameset builds on the success of its predecessors, which helped define modern aerodynamics in the professional peloton. Results from the Tour de France, the Giro, and other WorldTour races prove that the S5 is a true winning tool. For the 2025 model year, Cervélo introduces major design changes that make this platform the fastest version yet – without compromising handling or stability.

Improved aerodynamics and speed

The new S5 frame is 6.3 W faster than its predecessor, with the biggest aerodynamic gain coming from a redesigned front end – significantly deeper fork legs and a more substantial head tube. The shape updates were made with current UCI rules in mind, while maximizing airflow and maintaining control at high speeds.

Integrated HB19 V-Stem cockpit

Included in the frameset is an all-new integrated HB19 carbon cockpit that develops the original V-Stem concept. This one-piece bar-and-stem uses the so-called “Plus-Four” geometry – the tops are 4 cm narrower than the drops (e.g. 38/42 cm), which helps maintain an aerodynamic position while riding on the hoods, while also providing confidence and stability on descents and in sprints.

All available width options are fully compliant with UCI regulations, including the latest ones. The cabling is fully integrated, giving the entire front end an exceptionally clean, uncluttered look, with no compromises in serviceability or adjustability.

Lightweight without compromises

Although the frame and fork now feature a larger surface area, the resulting frameset is 124 g lighter than the previous model. This weight reduction was achieved through carbon layup optimization and small refinements to the components used, once again confirming Cervélo’s engineering mastery.
