Cervélo S5 Frameset Five Black frame set

Description

Cervélo S5 Frameset Five Black frameset is a road racing platform focused on aerodynamics and integration. It targets experienced riders and racers building their own bike with an electronic drivetrain. It sits in the premium performance class, where watts, position, and pedaling stiffness make the difference.

Frame and geometry

The frame is carbon and uses an aerodynamic design with an asymmetric seat tube profile for better airflow around the rear wheel. The front end continues with the Cervélo bayonet fork and a deeper profile that supports aerodynamic efficiency. The geometry is race-oriented, with a 405 mm chainstay length across sizes. Sizes 48–61 cover a reach of 367–409 mm and a stack of 496–608 mm.

Components

Drivetrain: The frameset is compatible only with electronic drivetrains. The bottom bracket uses BBright pressfit.

Brakes: It is designed for disc brakes with Flat mount mounting. Both the frame and fork are ready for thru-axles.

Wheels and tires: The platform is for 700C wheels. The frame is compatible with Reserve 57|64TA wheels as part of the aerodynamic system.

Cockpit: The package includes one-piece carbon HB19 handlebars and stem. A carbon seatpost is also included.

Ride characteristics

The aerodynamic gains come mainly from the front end, where the deeper fork and head tube area with the integrated cockpit do the work. The seat tube asymmetry supports smoother airflow around the rear wheel at high speeds. The race geometry with a 55.6 mm trail delivers predictable handling on fast descents. The 405 mm rear end supports direct power transfer during sprints and attacks.

Who it’s for

This frameset is for riders focused on performance in flat races, criteriums, and fast stages. It’s well suited to building a bike with an emphasis on low aerodynamic drag, a clean cockpit, and internal routing. Compared to more versatile road frames, it places greater emphasis on integration and an aerodynamic system with selected wheels.
