Description

The Cervélo S5 is a road frameset designed for racing on asphalt and fast group riding. Frame and geometry

The foundation is a carbon composite frame designed for road use, with an emphasis on stiffness around the bottom bracket and head tube areas. The set uses the Cervélo All-Carbon, Bayonet S5 Fork, which combines precise tracking with room for aero shaping. The headset is handled by the FSA IS2 1-1/8 x 1-3/8 system, supporting a stiffer front end and precise handling. 

Components

Drivetrain: The frameset is ready to be built with a modern road groupset of the rider’s choice. Cassette and bottom bracket selection depends on the crankset used and the standards of the chosen groupset.

Brakes: The frame is designed for road disc brakes. The specific caliper manufacturer and rotor diameter are chosen based on the build and intended use.

Wheels and tires: It uses the 12x100/142 thru-axle standard, matching road wheelsets with disc brakes. The choice of rims, hubs, and tires depends on the goal of the build, from racing to long training rides.

Cockpit: Included are the carbon handlebars Cervélo HB14 Carbon, aimed at clean routing and an aero position. The seat area is handled by the Cervélo SP20 Carbon component for precise fit adjustment.

Ride characteristics

The S5 frame design targets stable tracking at high speeds and stiffness during out-of-the-saddle acceleration. A more integrated front end and the corresponding headset support precise steering in fast corners. The thru-axle standard adds confidence under braking and consistent wheel seating in the dropouts.
