Description

The Cervélo S5 is one of the fastest road bikes today.

Cervélo has long earned respect for its passion for aerodynamics and relentless pursuit of speed. The S5 proved its racing prowess with a successful performance at the 2022 Tour de France. The overall winner, Jonas Vingegaard, and green jersey winner Wout van Aert, introduced the new Cervélo S5 in this way.

To maximize allowed shapes according to UCI rules, Cervélo created more pronounced frame areas and a new fork design that simplifies the entire front end of the bike. Overall, the S5 managed to reduce the weight of the bike. Thanks to innovations, the S5 is simpler, faster, and easier to handle than ever before.

In the race for speed, everyone tries to find the best position for themselves, with a longer stem and a more aggressive aerodynamic stance. The S5 makes this easier with its setup and adjustments. All necessary spacers are included with the bike, and instead of specific screws for each stem type, there is only one screw length. The handlebar mount is simpler, and they feature a 5° rotation for better fitting. This adjustment reduced the system's weight by 53 grams.

The S5 is only compatible with electronic shifting, which has optimized the entire shaping and design flow.

The S5 supports tires up to 34 mm wide and is optimized for the new wider wheels fitted with 28 mm tires. These wheels, developed according to Turbulent Aero protocols, allow for a saving of up to 5 watts.

Cervélo, in collaboration with Reserve, developed a rim shape that has a less dramatic impact on the ride at a greater yaw angle. The result is a more stable and comfortable ride that requires less effort and attention from the rider.

This frame set includes:

S5 carbon frame, Cervélo All-Carbon fork, FSA IS2 1-1/8 x 1-3/8 headset, Cervélo HB14 Carbon cockpit, Cervélo SP20 Carbon seatpost, and thru-axles. The frame and fork are in Five Black.
