The Cervélo S5 is one of the fastest road bikes today.
Cervélo has long earned respect for its passion for aerodynamics and relentless pursuit of speed. The S5 has already proven its racing performance with a successful showing in the 2022 Tour de France. Overall winner Jonas Vingegaard and green jersey winner Wout van Aert showcased the new Cervélo S5 in this manner.
To maximize the allowed frame shapes according to UCI regulations, Cervélo created more pronounced frame features and a new fork design, simplifying the entire front part of the bike. This also created more space for the new Reserve 52/63 wheels.

The S5 makes this easier through installation and adjustments. All necessary spacers are included with the bike, and instead of specific bolts for each stem type, there is only one bolt length. Attaching the handlebars is simpler, and they have a 5° rotation for better adjustment. This adjustment has reduced the system weight by 53 g.
The bike does not feature a longer seatpost, and the new S5 comes with a 15 mm offset clamp for most sizes (compared to the original 25 mm).
The S5 is compatible only with electronic shifting, allowing for optimization of the entire shaping and smoothness of the design.
The S5 allows for tires up to 34 mm wide and is optimized for new wider wheels, which are fitted with 28 mm wide tires. These wheels, developed according to Turbulent Aero protocols, allow for savings of up to 5 watts.
Cervélo in collaboration with Reserve developed a rim shape that at greater yaw angles has a less dramatic effect on the ride. The result is a more stable and comfortable ride, requiring less effort and attention from the rider.
