On longer rides, it’s the small details that take pressure off your hands and steady your grip. Ciclovation Xtra Cush under tape Matt Black gives your handlebars a softer, more secure feel without unnecessary weight.
This foam under tape works as a base layer beneath bar tape and significantly boosts comfort in your palms. It helps dampen vibrations from asphalt, cobbles, and gravel, so your hands don’t tire as quickly.
By increasing the grip diameter, the handlebar fits your hand better and the grip feels more stable, even with gloves. It’s also ideal if you want to subtly “thicken” your bars without changing your bar tape.
The foam material holds its shape even with prolonged use and resists compression, so the cushioning stays consistent. Thanks to that, you’ll maintain a similar grip feel throughout the season.
The matte black finish pairs easily with most bar tapes and looks clean even on a race bike. Under the tape, it doesn’t distract from the look—it just discreetly improves comfort.
Under tape model: Xtra Cush.
Base layer thickness: 2.5 mm.
Under-wrapping tape width: 30 mm.
Tape length for both sides of the handlebars: 1.5 m.
Ciclovation Xtra Cush is under tape for cyclists who want a more comfortable, more secure grip without major changes to their bike setup. You’ll appreciate it on the road, during training, and on longer rides where comfort matters.
As a foam base layer under bar tape, it softens contact with the handlebars and helps maintain a stable grip feel. The black color also remains a universal choice for a subtle look.
