The new Continental GrandPrix 5000 is here. The GP5000 tire is made from a 3-ply material with a 330 TPI casing and has been improved with the Black Chilli compound. The Vectran Breaker safety belt hasn’t been left without innovation either—puncture protection has been increased by 20% while the weight has been reduced by 10g. With the new model, the designers managed to reduce rolling resistance by 12% compared to the GrandPrix 4000 S II.
Two new features have also been added: Active Comfort Technology, designed to absorb vibrations, and Lazer Grip, providing better cornering grip.
