Clothes, shovel, probe, food and snacks – you'll need some gear for a ski tour. And everything must be stored in a way that doesn’t restrict your movement, ensuring you have instant access to what you need.
The Radical 30+ backpack with water-resistant, PFC-free outer materials is a comfortable and smart companion for every ski tour.
The spacious main compartment can be accessed from the top via a roll-up opening and from the back. This means you have everything within quick reach during the tour. The roll-up closure helps you flexibly expand the pack’s volume if, for example, you need more storage space for an overnight stay in a hut.
The Radical 30+ backpack also features a separate safety compartment, guaranteeing lightning-fast access to emergency equipment when every second counts in an emergency. A generous accessories pocket with a key clip and a separate fleece-lined compartment offers space for ski goggles, valuables, and other small essentials. You have two ski attachment options: Using DYNAFIT ski hooks diagonally on the back of the backpack, or on the sides with compression straps.
Despite its comprehensive features, its comfort remains unchanged: The pre-shaped back system adapts to the natural shape of the spine. This allows optimal load distribution between the two-piece hip belt and ergonomic shoulder straps. The backpack sits securely, stays stable, and remains comfortable. Nothing shakes or slides, and you can tackle turns precisely even in demanding backcountry terrain.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
