The Tigard Merino Hoody functional shirt serves as a first layer during winter days both on and off the slopes.
Premium wool with a great warmth-to-weight ratio ensures excellent moisture wicking and a comfortable feel on the skin.
The Tigard Merino Hoody delivers impressive performance thanks to an innovative fabric blend of ultra-fine merino wool and lightweight, breathable Dryarn synthetic fibers.
Merino wool is resistant to unwanted odors and provides long-lasting freshness even after repeated, heavy sweating.
You can wear the hood under a helmet for extra warmth, comfort, and protection.
Merino is a breed or group of breeds of domestic sheep, characterized by a very fine soft wool. Garments made from this wool are very comfortable and non-scratchy. The structure of the fibre and the weaving technology create multiple "air pockets" and thus guarantee thermal comfort of the wearer. The pockets keep the air warm on the body and create very effective insulation. An important characteristic of Merino is also neutralisation of sweat and elimination of odour, which is why Merino wool is often used in winter sportswear.
Dryarn is an innovative microfleece that is more breathable than polyester;insulates more than wool and is lighter than any other wool (32% lighter than wool and 34% lighter than polyester).Dryarn offers excellent moisture wicking to promote a healthy skin microclimate. Sweat is instantly drawn away from the body, so you stay dry and warm in all conditions. It has natural antibacterial properties thus reducing the risk of irritation, allergies and diseases.
