When you want to ride light on the trail but still keep peace of mind, Endura MT500 D30 Ghost Baselayer makes surprisingly good sense. It feels like a regular performance layer on the body, with the difference that it hides subtle protection for sensitive areas. This performance layer for mountainbiking combines next-to-skin comfort with integrated D3O Ghost protectors on the chest, back, and shoulders—so it’s not just a shirt, but also lightweight protection. The Polartec Power Dry fabric wicks moisture efficiently, dries quickly, and thanks to its high breathability reduces the risk of uncomfortable chafing on longer rides. If you want even lower weight or you’re heading out for a more relaxed ride, the pads can be easily removed from the open pockets. Practical rear pockets (open and zippered) also keep small essentials within reach, without having to deal with a backpack.
The shirt is made from Polartec Power Dry performance knit, designed for fast sweat wicking and comfort in summer conditions, making it suitable as a summer base layer for use with protectors as well as under a jersey. The protective inserts meet EN 1621-3 for the chest, EN 1621-2 for the back, and EN 1621-1 for the shoulders, which you’ll appreciate when riding faster in technical terrain.
