Ergon GP4 Evo grips black

Description

When you’re facing an all-day gravel bash, a long MTB climb, or multi-day bikepacking, your hands are usually the first to take a beating. Ergon GP4 Evo grips are exactly the kind of detail that can change the feel of the entire ride – less finger tingling, more relaxed wrists, and more confident bike control even late in the day.

Main benefits

The ergonomic shape with a palm support helps keep your hand in a more natural position, reducing uncomfortable pressure on nerves and blood vessels, and often forearm fatigue as well. The widened “wing” area spreads the load across a larger part of the palm, which you’ll notice most on long rides and on an e-bike, where your grip on the bars doesn’t change as often. Another big advantage is the fully rubberized four-finger bar end, which adds an extra hand position and better leverage on climbs. On top of that, you can adjust the grip and the bar end independently, so you can fine-tune everything to match your riding style and hand size.

Technical specifications

These grips belong to the GP series, and the GP4 Evo version is designed for trekking, MTB touring, and E-MTB, where comfort on long routes is the main focus. Installation uses lock-out clamps, so the grips stay firmly in place and won’t twist; the package includes 2 grips with bar ends, clamps, and the necessary bolts. They fit handlebars with a 22.2 mm diameter, and the manufacturer states a weight of approximately 320 g per set. In terms of materials, they combine rubber for a secure hold, plastic for the grip body, and a fiberglass composite for the bar end to keep it strong while still feeling comfortable in the hand.

Conclusion

Ergon GP4 Evo in size L is the choice for riders who want a stable grip on longer rides, the option to change hand positions, and less unnecessary pressure on their palms. If you’re looking to improve comfort on a trekking bike, a touring MTB, or an e-MTB, these ergonomic grips make sense as a practical, no-fuss upgrade.
