In sports mountain biking and road cycling, the IP Pro Solestar reduces ankle rotation and ensures optimized power transfer. In a somewhat loose shoe with a soft sole (as in many mountain biking disciplines), the Ergon insoles provide the necessary stability.
Feet naturally move inward and outward under load. On a bike, however, these movements are biomechanically and ergonomically disadvantageous: the result is power loss, strain on ligaments, tendons, and joints. The IP Pro Solestar effectively prevents these movements and keeps the feet stable.

EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests.
