The Ergon SR Pro Carbon women's saddle is designed for road, gravel, and cyclocross bikes.
The developers at Ergon have come up with an entirely new approach to women's saddles. To create a new generation of saddles, they used X-rays and CT scans during their research. The research involved riders from the Canyon/SRAM team.
Women are significantly more flexible in the pelvic area than men. In the typical riding position on a racing bike, the pelvis often tilts more forward. This causes considerable pressure in the genital area. SR Women distributes sitting pressure in a more rocking forward position, and the wide V-shaped design matches the shape and mobility of the female pelvis.
Due to the characteristics of the female pelvis, women struggle with standard saddles. SR Women alleviates sensitive pressure on the soft tissues with a tapered relief channel, which prevents numbness and pain. Alleviating this pressure better distributes body weight while allowing for a more comfortable position.
The saddle features OrthoCell® inserts, which are more durable and lighter than gel, ensuring the best pressure distribution and providing the highest rebound force. This means they follow pelvic movements with each pedal stroke and return to their starting position very quickly. Orthopedic foam ensures comfort while being extremely durable.
The ramp at the back of the saddle provides effective support for your sit bones. The ramp keeps you supported, so more power goes into the pedals.
For even more comfort, the saddle has anti-friction side flanks. This feature reduces friction between your thighs and the saddle while pedaling.
