The DRIFT model is the first in a new range of FFWD wheels specifically designed for gravel and off-road riding. The focus here has been on slightly different parameters compared to similar road wheels. Weight here must go hand in hand with stiffness and especially the durability of the rim and spokes. The 36mm high FFWD Drift rims have been specially developed to accommodate wide tires and withstand not only impacts from stones rolling over the rim. The carbon on these rims is woven in a different way, making them much more durable. For the spokes, the most durable aero spokes from DT Swiss, specifically the Aerocomp model, were used. The use of brass nipples is a given, which significantly increases the lifespan of the spokes.
Both the front and rear wheels are built on FFWD 2:1 hubs with a new 36-tooth ratchet system, in a spoke ratio of 2:1. This makes you more than able to rely on these wheels in the terrain, as well as their excellent acceleration.
