Description

The new FFWD RAW CS wheels represent the pinnacle of Fast Forward's development and offerings.

The RAW CS wheels were inspired by the RYOT model and use the same LAW technology - Laminar Airflow Wing, which optimizes aerodynamics and stiffness, especially when using wider tires. The wheels are primarily designed for road cycling, optimized for efficient power transfer and reduced air resistance.

The RAW CS series rims have been modified using LAW TECH technology, with a height of 33 mm, an inner width of 21 mm, and an outer width of 30 mm. The rims are designed for use with tires ranging from 23 mm to 42 mm.

Hubs produced by FFWD rotate on Ceramic Speed industrial bearings and, along with the rims, are laced front and rear with 21 (in a 2:1 ratio) extra-light and stiff carbon spokes, also developed in collaboration with Ceramic Speed. The brake disc attachment follows the Centerlock standard.

Ceramic Speed manufactures bearings with a larger diameter, enhancing durability and lifespan. The hub features a special flange for carbon spokes, a lightweight freehub, and hub quality on par with Swiss DT Swiss with their stellar ratchet system.

The wheelset is executed with top-quality carbon spokes with a tensile strength of at least 2000N. The spokes are mounted using dual-component nipples, allowing easy replacement and servicing. The number of spokes was intentionally reduced to 21 for better spoking properties and effective vibration damping while maintaining stiffness.

The weight of the pair is 1350 g, with a maximum rider weight of 120 kg and a maximum tire pressure of 8.3 bar. The package includes wheels, tubeless valves and tape, and a wheel bag.

Available freehub options include the classic splined Shimano HG11 freehub, the splined ED freehub for Campagnolo cassettes, and the XDR freehub for Sram road cassettes.
