Description

The new FFWD RAW CS wheels represent the pinnacle of Fast Forward's design and development.

The RAW CS wheels were inspired by the RYOT model and also utilize the same LAW - Laminar Airflow Wing technology, enhancing aerodynamics and stiffness, especially when using wider tires. The wheels are primarily designed for road cycling, optimized for efficient power transfer and reduced air resistance.

RAW CS rims have been modified using LAW TECH technology; they feature a height of 44 mm, an internal width of 21 mm, and an external width of 30 mm. The rims are dimensioned for tires ranging from 23 mm to 42 mm.

Hubs produced by FFWD rotate on Ceramic Speed industrial bearings and, along with the rims, are laced both front and rear with 21 (in a 2:1 ratio) ultra-light and stiff carbon spokes, which were also developed in collaboration with Ceramic Speed. The disc brake mounting follows the Centerlock standard.

Ceramic Speed manufactures bearings with a larger diameter, which enhances durability and longevity. The hub features a special flange for carbon spokes, a lightweight freehub body, and the hub quality is comparable to the Swiss DT Swiss with their stellar ratchet system.

The spokes are made from highest-quality carbon with a tensile strength of at least 2000N. The spokes are secured using two-component nipples, which allows for easy replacement and servicing. The number of spokes has been intentionally reduced to 21 for improved lacing properties and efficient vibration damping while maintaining stiffness.

The weight of the pair is 1395 g, with a maximum rider weight of 120 kg and a maximum tire pressure of 8.3 bar. The package includes wheels, tubeless valves and tape, and a wheel bag.

Options for freehubs include the classic grooved Shimano HG11 freehub, the grooved ED freehub for Campagnolo cassettes, and the XDR freehub for road Sram cassettes.
