Description

The new FFWD RAW CS wheels represent the pinnacle of Fast Forward's development and offerings.

The RAW CS wheels were inspired by the RYOT model and also utilize the same LAW technology - Laminar Airflow Wing, which optimizes aerodynamics and stiffness, especially when using wider tires. The wheels are primarily designed for road cycling, optimized for efficient power transfer and reduced air resistance.

The RAW CS series rims were refined using LAW TECH technology, featuring a height of 44 mm, an inner width of 21 mm, and an outer width of 30 mm. The rims are designed for tires ranging from 23 mm to 42 mm.

The hubs from FFWD are mounted on Ceramic Speed industrial bearings and, along with the rims, are laced front and rear with 21 (in a 2:1 ratio) ultra-light and stiff carbon spokes, also developed in collaboration with Ceramic Speed. The brake rotor attachment standard is Centerlock.

Ceramic Speed produces bearings with a larger diameter, increasing durability and lifespan. The hub features a special flange for carbon spokes, a lightweight freehub, and the quality of the hub is on par with the Swiss DT Swiss with their star ratchet system.

The spokes are made of the highest quality carbon with a tensile strength of at least 2000N. The spokes are secured with two-component nipples, which allows easy replacement and servicing. The number of spokes has been intentionally reduced to 21 for better wheel properties and effective vibration dampening while maintaining stiffness.

The pair weighs 1395 g, with a maximum rider weight of 120 kg and a maximum tire pressure of 8.3 bars. The package includes wheels, tubeless valves and tape, and a wheel bag.

Options for freehubs include the classic splined Shimano HG11 freehub, splined ED freehub for Campagnolo cassettes, and also an XDR freehub for Sram road cassettes.
