Description

The new FFWD RAW CS wheels represent the pinnacle of Fast Forward's development and offerings.

The RAW CS wheels were inspired by the RYOT model and use the same LAW technology - Laminar Airflow Wing, which optimizes aerodynamics and stiffness, especially when using wider tires. The wheels are primarily intended for road cycling, optimized for efficient power transfer and reduced air resistance.

The RAW CS rim series has been modified using LAW TECH, featuring a height of 55 mm, an internal width of 21 mm, and an external width of 30 mm. The rims are sized for tires ranging from 23 mm to 42 mm.

Hubs produced by FFWD rotate on Ceramic Speed industrial bearings and, along with the rims, are laced front and rear with 21 (in a 2:1 ratio) extra lightweight and stiff carbon spokes, which were also developed in collaboration with Ceramic Speed. The brake disc attachment uses the Centerlock standard.

Ceramic Speed manufactures bearings with larger diameters, enhancing durability and lifespan. The hub has a special flange for carbon spokes, a lightweight freehub, and the quality of the hub is on par with the Swiss DT Swiss with their star ratchet system.

The threading is done with the highest quality carbon spokes with a tensile strength of at least 2000N. The spokes are held with two-piece nipples, which allow easy replacement and servicing. The number of spokes has been deliberately reduced to 21 for better threading properties and effective vibration damping while maintaining stiffness.

The weight of the pair is 1460 g, the maximum rider weight is 120 kg, and the maximum tire pressure is 8.3 bar. The package includes wheels, tubeless valves and tape, and a wheel bag.

The choices of freehubs include the classic notched Shimano HG11 freehub, the notched ED freehub for Campagnolo cassettes, and also the XDR freehub for Sram road cassettes.
