On the trail, you want to keep a clear head and your hands free for steering. The Fox Speedframe Pro Backfade cycling helmet Frost adds confidence, comfort, and clean style in white.
The MIPS® air node system helps reduce rotational forces on impact and increases protection in situations that happen unexpectedly. The in-mold construction also keeps the helmet light and strong.
The BOA® fit system lets you fine-tune the fit with a single twist, even when you’re wearing gloves. This way, the helmet stays stable on climbs and on rough descents.
The magnetic Fidlock Snap buckle fastens quickly and securely, without unnecessary struggling with straps. You’ll appreciate it during frequent stops and when it’s windy and your fingers get cold.
Ventilation channels in the EPS liner carry heat away on long climbs and help you stay focused. The removable ionic+® liner reduces odor and manages moisture better.
The shell construction is in-mold with MIPS technology for increased safety in a crash.
The helmet weighs 350 g in size M, with a tolerance of ±35 g.
Size S fits a head circumference of 51–55 cm; size M fits 55–59 cm.
Size L fits a head circumference of 59–63 cm, and the helmet meets CPSC, EN 1078, and AS/NZS 2063 certifications.
Fox Speedframe Pro Backfade Frost is a trail and enduro helmet for mountainbiking that combines modern protection, precise adjustment, and well-thought-out details. The one-hand adjustable visor is compatible with both sunglasses and MX goggles. A practical storage solution for sunglasses keeps your eyewear close at hand and safe.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
Mips is a technology in the form of a special yellow insert inside the helmet, which has the task of reducing rotational forces acting on the head and brain in the event of a crash or fall while riding a bicycle. In principle, Mips works between two layers of the helmet shell, which rotate in relation to each other during a fall. This technology is being used by more and more major and minor helmet manufacturers, so if a helmet has this technology, you can tell by the small yellow logo on the outside of the helmet. Currently there are about 5 kinds of Mips system.
BOA is a technology developed by Boa Technology Inc. This patented technology is based on three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial in the form of a rotating wheel, a thin extra-strong lace and low-friction lace guides. This system is an effective way to tighten shoes and other equipment across many sports (golf, winter sports, cycling, athletics, hiking, and others). BOA Technology Inc. is headquartered in Denver, CO with offices in Austria, Hong Kong, China, South Korea and Japan.
Fidlock, it is the cradle of innovative magnetic closures and attachments with mechanical lock. The company has been leading the development of these systems since the company was founded in 2007. Magnetic systems can be found, for example, in helmet closures or bicycle bottle cages. Reversing the polarity and unlocking the locks is possible with one hand, by turning or tilting and pushing the locks.
