New Union shoes set to elevate your mountain biking adventure to a new level.
The cycling shoes feature robust elements, including a toe design shaped into a "cap" that protects against stone impacts and easily handles demanding rocky trails.
A low-profile, custom-tuned EVA midsole with a lightweight and precise fit enhances grip and pedaling feel, while also providing greater comfort. A molded internal reinforcement delivers power to the pedal.
The outsole is designed using the Ultratac™ rubber compound with a crafted pattern that offers the best grip and durability in its field, while the 2-bolt system is compatible with most major clipless pedal suppliers. The shoes are versatile with a subtle style, and the welded construction protects against the elements.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
