Galfer Shark Evo brake disc 180 mm

Description

When the descent picks up speed and your hands start feeling the impacts, reliable braking is what puts you at ease. The Galfer Shark Evo 180 mm brake rotor keeps performing even where standard rotors fade from heat. Every touch of the brakes is predictable, confident, and free of unnecessary stress.

Main benefits

The Shark braking surface with cooling fins and holes helps dissipate heat on long descents. As a result, braking performance is easier to maintain even at high temperatures.

The rotor supports the thermal stability of the braking system and reduces material fatigue. The result is a calmer brake feel and longer service life of braking components.

A CNC-machined core made of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy adds stiffness and more precise force transfer. The brake then responds more sharply and with better modulation control.

The anti-corrosion finish and self-cleaning capability help maintain consistent pad contact. It’s well suited for MTB and eMTB, where braking demands are higher.

Technical parameters

Rotor type: Disc Shark® Evo, fixed design.

Brake rotor diameter 180 mm for MTB and eMTB.

Brake rotor thickness 2 mm for a higher thermal reserve.

INTL mounting with 6 bolts for standard hubs.

Conclusion

The Galfer Shark Evo in 180 mm is a brake rotor for riders who want stable performance in heat and under prolonged load. Thanks to its well-thought-out cooling, it helps keep operating temperatures low even in demanding terrain. The black finish and rotor weight of 0.165 kg round out a functional, race-tuned package.
