More informationGarmin Varia Radar RTL515 is a rear bike radar that provides visual and audible alerts when a vehicle is approaching.
It can detect a vehicle from up to 140 m away.
A bright red light, visible from more than 1 km away and within a 220° angle, alerts drivers.
Thanks to Bluetooth and the Varia app, the radar can also be paired with a mobile phone, which will warn you of an approaching car with sound or vibration.
The radar is compatible with the currently available Garmin Edge cycling computers. Their display shows a bar with dots representing approaching vehicles. The colored backlight also indicates the vehicle’s speed.

The best rear light I've come across.
Nejlepší blikačka, co jsem potkal.
Great safety feature. Highly recommend.
Skvely prvek do bezpecnosti. Vrele doporucuji.
Works well, even with 2-3 cars in a row it picks them up reliably and shows them nicely on the display (I have 840) too. For roadies, an obvious choice!
Funguje dobře, i v případě 2-3 aut za sebou je snímá spolehlivě a na displej (mám 840)i krásně zobrazí. Pro silničáře jasná volba!
Occasionally it happens that the radar doesn't pick up a car, but otherwise it's a perfect thing. You know about the cars behind you and on top of that cars give me a wider pass than before. The radar is perfectly visible from far away, in any weather.
Vyjímečně se stane, že radar auto nezaznamená, ale jinak je to perfektní věc. Víte o autech za vámi a navíc i auta mě více objíždí než předtím. Radar je perfektně viditelný už z dálky a to za jakéhokoliv počasí.
I won’t ride on the road without it anymore. Excellent thing.
Uz bez nej na silnici nevyjedu. Vynikajici vec.
Perfect thing, together with the Edge program it's an awesome duo. I don't go out without it anymore. You can't even hear the car yet and you already know about it. The light from the lamp is very sharp.
Perfektní věc, spolu s programem Edge je to úžasná dvojka. Bez něj už nevyjíždím. Auto ještě nejde slyšet a už o něm víte. Světlo ze svítilny je velice ostré.
I've already tried it and it's great
Už jsem ho odzkoušel a je to supr

great thing on the road
na silnici super věc
Great thing. Once you try it, you won't ride without it again.
Super záležitost. jakmile ho jednou zkusíte tak už bez něj nevyjedete.
An excellent helper on the road. The flashes can really be seen from a long distance and the cyclist can’t be missed
Vynikající pomocník na silnici. Záblesky jde vidět opravdu z velké dálky a cyklista nelze přehlédnout
