Description

The Garmin Varia™ RCT715 radar with a camera and rear light continuously records your ride and detects vehicles approaching from behind. It displays approaching cars within your field of vision on a compatible Garmin device.

Integrated camera records what happens behind you in up to 1080p resolution and up to 30 fps frame rate. This allows you to concentrate on your ride with the assurance that you will capture sharp video in case of any unusual situations. It can detect accidents and automatically save the recording right before, during, and after the accident. The camera has a 220° field of view. You can access the recordings using the Garmin Varia app, where you can also set up the camera, transfer videos, and more. The camera offers 3 modes: continuous, off, and radar activation.

Varia™ RCT715 has a rearview cycling radar that visually and audibly alerts you to approaching vehicles up to 140 meters away.

Thanks to the rear red light, vehicles will see you from up to 1.6 km away. The light works in 4 modes: constant (20 lm), peloton (8 lm), night flash (29 lm), and day flash (65 lm).

The battery lasts up to 4 hours with the radar and rear light on in high intensity or night flash mode, 5 hours in low intensity mode, and 6 hours in day flash mode – always with the camera recording in 1080p resolution.

The small compact radar easily mounts to the seat post of nearly any bike. Its vertical design does not interfere with leg movement and does not restrict your ride.

The integrated camera can be paired and controlled via a Edge® bike computer, a compatible smartphone, or selected Garmin watches. If using a compatible phone, you can connect the Varia™ RCT715 radar with your favorite apps, such as Ride with GPS, and monitor radar alerts through the map display.
