Varia™ RearVue 820 is Garmin’s most powerful and most accurate cycling radar, giving you even greater control over what’s happening behind you. With a wider field of view and the ability to track vehicles from up to 175 meters away, it alerts you early and reliably to approaching cars — even those traveling at the same speed as you.

An exceptionally bright rear light is visible from up to 2 kilometers, so you’ll stand out on the road even in poor lighting conditions. The integrated brake light automatically detects when you slow down or stop and activates a distinctive light pattern that immediately alerts drivers behind you. In daytime flash mode, the battery lasts up to 24 hours, so you can count on long runtime even on all-day rides.

When paired with compatible Garmin Edge cycling computers, Garmin smartwatches, or the Varia™ app on your smartphone, you’ll get an even more detailed overview. You’ll see the size of the approaching vehicle, its movement within the lane, and the level of potential threat. Selected watch models also provide haptic or voice alerts, helping you stay fully focused on your ride.
