The frameset is designed and constructed to provide perfect bike handling and is one of the lightest in its category. Tuned Compliance
The Advanced Composite carbon frame is specially designed for endurance riding and provides smooth and efficient ride quality that minimizes fatigue, even on very long rides. D-Fuse components work together to further dampen road irregularities and vibrations.
Perfect Handling
The Contact D-Fuse handlebars feature ergonomic shaping for higher comfort and an 8-degree flare for better handling. Wide hookless carbon rims (with an internal width of 22.4 mm) are optimized for wide tubeless tires (up to 38 mm), and rim height of 36 mm offers stable and predictable control in crosswinds.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
Compact Road revolutionized the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping toptube (from the headtube to the seattube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit.
The D-Fuse seatpost was designed to absorb road shocks and vibrations so you can ride farther, faster. It works by slightly springing the seat post under load, thanks to its specific "D" shape.
A D-shaped fork steerer passes through the head tube of the new Propel and Defy ranges. Together with corresponding spacers, they form an extremely aerodynamic and easy-to-service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.
