Efficiency that wins races
We manufacture Advanced Composite frames from high-quality materials using advanced construction methods and processes. As a result, they offer high stiffness at low weight and provide excellent riding characteristics. Compared to the previous generation of the Propel Advanced model, this new generation (introduced in 2023) is even lighter for a better stiffness-to-weight ratio.
High-performance raw carbon material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio is used to produce the custom Advanced Composite material. The front triangle of the frame is assembled and molded as one continuous piece (monocoque) using a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction.
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) research and wind tunnel test data have provided insights that have been used to optimize the shape of the frame tubes and their connections to give the frame the best possible aerodynamic properties.
A D-shaped fork steerer passes through the head tube of the new Propel and Defy ranges. Together with corresponding spacers, they form an extremely aerodynamic and easy-to-service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.
