Aluminum Frame with Modern Geometry
The lightweight ALUXX aluminum frame combined with a full carbon fork perfectly blends stiffness for maximum pedaling efficiency with compliance for high comfort. The frame geometry combines an endurance riding position with a shorter rear end for precise handling, agility, and perfect bike control. A longer reach (i.e., the horizontal distance from the center of the bike to the center of the top of the head tube), shorter stem, and lower bottom bracket enhance stability on rough terrain.
High Comfort
The new frame features lower seat stays with a smaller diameter for even better shock and vibration absorption. The specially shaped D-Fuse seatpost, which slightly flexes under load, also contributes to increased comfort.
Bike Adaptation to Terrain
An important innovation is the flip chip rear dropouts, which allow for changing the bike's wheelbase. A shorter wheelbase offers greater bike agility, while a longer wheelbase setting enhances stability at higher speeds and simultaneously increases tire clearance (up to 53 mm). The new frame also allows for choosing the type of seatpost (thanks to a special adapter), so you can use either the resilient Giant D-Fuse seatpost or a standard 30.9 mm round seatpost – this means the frame allows for the use of a dropper post.
