Aries Spherical represents the most advanced helmet ever created. It's lighter, more aerodynamic, and perfectly ventilated. The minimalist profile precisely mirrors the shape of the head, making it compact and natural. Low weight combined with 24 Wind Tunnel ventilation openings ensures maximum airflow and extraordinary comfort even on long and challenging rides.
However, the true strength of this helmet lies within. Spherical Technology Powered by MIPS functions like a joint – two nested hemispheres are connected by elastomers that allow them to move relative to each other. In the event of an impact, it absorbs and disperses rotational and direct forces. The elastomers also act as a cushioning element that absorbs energy and enhances the overall level of protection.
The construction uses Progressive Layering technology – the outer shell is made from a harder material for maximum durability, while the inside is made from softer foam to better absorb the impact energy. The stability of the entire helmet is further reinforced by an Aura reinforcement, which increases strength without adding weight.
Perfect fit on the head is ensured by the patented Roc Loc 5+ Air adjustment system with the possibility of precise setting. The comfort while wearing is complemented by comfortable pads with Ionic+ antimicrobial treatment, which help maintain freshness even during intense activity.
Aries Spherical is the ideal choice for cyclists who demand top-notch protection, extreme lightness, and maximum performance without compromises.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
Spherical technology uses two separate inserts to help manage impact forces. The material and density of the inner and outer liner can be optimized with progressive layering to help handle a wide range of impact forces. When you combine the benefits of progressive layering with the market-leading MIPS® Brain Protection System, which helps redirect rotational motion away from the brain, you get more comprehensive protection.
