Giro Eclipse Spherical is a unique aero helmet, suitable for competitive cycling.
It combines the best of our technologies into a compact shape, where the outer shell actively directs air to reduce drag. Helping with this are 14 ventilation holes that cool the head as well as helmets with more holes. Inside the helmet, we find the most important feature – Spherical Technology Powered by MIPS. The outer shell is made from a harder material, the inner shell is made from a softer material, aided by Progressive Layering technology.
The patented Roc Loc 5 Air fitting system ensures a proper fit on the head. The helmet has reflective elements for increased safety, ultralight Slimline straps that you won't even feel, and antibacterial Ionic+ padding.

Helmet sizing system. It's most easily identified by the simple and effective rear thumb-turn knob, which improved fit over the older two-button system and allowed Giro to reduce weight. Despite its minimalist design, the Roc Loc 5 is durable.
Spherical technology uses two separate inserts to help manage impact forces. The material and density of the inner and outer liner can be optimized with progressive layering to help handle a wide range of impact forces. When you combine the benefits of progressive layering with the market-leading MIPS® Brain Protection System, which helps redirect rotational motion away from the brain, you get more comprehensive protection.
EPS is expanded polystyrene. It is a strong and rigid material with a cellular structure, composed of 2% polystyrene and the rest is air.
