The Giro Fixture II MIPS Youth is a versatile children's MTB helmet suitable primarily for trail riding but also for classic MTB excursions.
The helmet features a proven In-mold construction with 16 ventilation openings, ensuring maximum safety and comfort together with the Roc Loc® Sport fitting system.
In-Mold technology can be found most often in bicycle and ski helmets. The principle consists in injecting compressed polystyrene into a polycarbonate shell at high temperatures and pressures (approx. 330°C). This connection ensures high strength at very low weight. Polystyrene absorbs energy in the event of an impact, but it deforms, which is why the helmet must be replaced after a major impact. Helmets produced by In-Mold technology and associated have a weight of 350-550 g.
