The Giro Jag cycling gloves feature a breathable upper part and an absorbent surface.
The upper part, made of Lycra™ (80% recycled content), is breathable and stretches in all directions.
The palm is made from AX Suede microfiber and EVA foam padding for enhanced comfort, divided into three parts with a SuperFit design.
The closure is very simple with Velcro.
Lycra® is a spandex fiber. It is a branded, highly flexible polyurethane fiber (more than 85%) manufactured by Invista (introduced in 1958 by DuPont). A characteristic feature of Lycra® fibers is their high elasticity, shape stability and durability.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
