When the track speeds up and rocks start bouncing under your wheel, you want a tire that holds its line without slowing you down with rolling resistance. Kenda K-Series Double Black Downhill is built for confidence in lean angles and composure on landings.
The versatile tread works on hardpack as well as loose surfaces, so you can focus on choosing your line. The support from the side knobs provides stability in corners and a predictable transition into lean.
The faster rolling is most noticeable on high-speed sections, where the tire doesn’t feel sluggish. At the same time, it maintains a “glued” connection to the ground under braking and acceleration.
Tubeless-ready design supports a smoother ride and better control in rough terrain. Riding without a tube also reduces the risk of pinch flats.
The Dual Layer compound is tuned for gravity use, where hard surfaces alternate with loose stones. Combined with the downhill construction, the tire feels secure even at high speeds.
The tire size is 27.5x2.40 inches for trail and downhill bikes.
The ETRTO size is 62-548 for an accurate fit on the rim.
The casing density is 60 TPI to balance durability and compliance.
The tire weight is 1.307 kilograms in the downhill version.
Kenda K-Series Double Black Downhill 60TPI K-1265 TR is aimed at riders who want one tire for different conditions in gravity terrain. It will support you on fast hardpack and won’t let you down on loose surfaces over a firm base.
Thanks to the folding kevlar bead, the tire is easy to handle during changes and transport. The black design matches most bikes and components.
