Liv Avail Advanced 1 road bike Mechanic Rose is a women’s endurance road bike built for long rides, sustained climbs, and Gran Fondo-style marathons. Thanks to its carbon frameset and electronic shifting, it sits in the mid to upper performance category. It’s based around disc brakes and clearance for wider tires, so it can handle rougher asphalt as well.

Frame and geometry

The frame is made from Advanced-grade composite with a Modified Monocoque construction and 12x142 mm thru-axles. The Advanced-Grade Composite fork features an OverDrive tapered steerer and a 12x100 mm thru-axle. The geometry is endurance-focused, with a taller stack and a stable 420 mm rear end across sizes. Available sizes are XXS, XS, S, M, and L, with reach 363–381 mm and stack 510–589 mm.

Components

Drivetrain: Shifting is handled by Shimano 105 Di2 with 12 speeds and electronic front and rear derailleurs. A Shimano 105 11–36 cassette and a Shimano press fit bottom bracket are complemented by a KMC X12 chain.

Brakes: Shimano 105 Di2 hydraulic disc brakes use Shimano RT-MT800 rotors. Rotor diameter is 160 mm front and 160 mm rear.

Wheels and tires: Giant P-R2 Disc wheelset features aluminum rims and Giant alloy hubs on 12 mm thru-axles. Giant Gavia Fondo 1 tires are tubeless 700x32c, and the frame clears tires up to 40 mm.

Cockpit: Liv Contact SL D-Fuse handlebars have a 31.8 mm clamp diameter and a width of 380–420 mm depending on size. The Giant Contact AeroLight stem is 70–90 mm long, and the Giant D-Fuse seatpost is composite with a 14 mm offset.

Ride characteristics

The carbon frameset with an OverDrive head tube increases front-end stiffness and sharpens handling at higher speeds. The D-Fuse seatpost and handlebars reduce vibration transfer, which helps on long rides and rough asphalt. The combination of an 11–36 cassette and compact 34/50 chainrings supports a smooth cadence on climbs. Tubeless 700x32c tires add confidence in corners and more forgiveness on poor surfaces.
