Liv Seek 2 kids’ road bike Purple Haze is a junior road bike for road cycling, built around youth-specific geometry and components for smaller riders. It sits in the performance category focused on efficient riding on asphalt and confident handling. The concept also allows for a light gravel crossover thanks to its tire clearance.
The foundation is an ALUXX-Grade Aluminum frame with smaller-diameter tubing for junior use. The fork is made from Advanced-grade Composite carbon and supports precise tracking under braking. The geometry is designed for young riders, with a more stable position thanks to a lower bottom bracket and a shorter head tube. The bike comes in one size for riders 130 to 150 cm tall, with 12 mm thru-axles and a UDH hanger.
Drivetrain: Microshift e-shifting runs a 1x10 setup with electronic control. A Microshift SWORD 11–38 cassette is paired with a PROWHEEL DMA 30T crankset and a press-fit bottom bracket.
Brakes: Giant MPH disc brakes are semi-hydraulic, with 160 mm rotors up front and 140 mm at the rear. The brake levers are integrated into Microshift e-shifting.
Wheels and tires: The 650B wheels use Giant ALP Disc rims with a 30 mm depth and 12 mm thru-axles. Giant Gavia Course 0 650x28B tires are tubeless and feature a folding construction.
Cockpit: Liv Contact SL Lite handlebars measure 320 mm at the tops and flare to 340 mm in the drops. A D-Fuse Alloy 300 mm seatpost is paired with a Liv Grit Core Lite saddle and Cork Tape VLT-004 bar tape.
The combination of an aluminum frame and carbon fork increases steering precision under braking and at higher speeds. The lower bottom bracket improves stability in corners and helps keep a calm line on rough asphalt. Tubeless 650x28B tires reduce rolling resistance and allow lower pressure for better control. The 1x10 gearing with an 11–38 cassette simplifies gear selection and helps on climbs.
Seek 2 is for kids who already have solid road skills and want a capable road bike without adult-bike compromises in ergonomics. It’s well suited for training, sporty rides, and first races, where you’ll appreciate electronic shifting and the confident bite of disc brakes. Thanks to clearance for tires up to 37 mm, you can also fit more durable rubber for gravel.
