Magped Ultra2 are versatile, super-light pedals with a titanium axle and magnets on one side. The pedal body is CNC machined from a magnesium block. The use of a patented magnetic mechanism allows the foot to be safely, quickly, and easily removed from the pedal at any time.
The risk of falls and injuries is minimized to an absolute minimum compared to pedals with a fixed connection.
The Ultra2 pedals with a 150N magnet are intended for sports bikers up to 80 kg.
The weight, including the patented magnetic system, is only 320 g (150N magnet, manufacturer information) per pair.
Depending on the chosen magnetic force, the shoe is held magnetically to the pedal with up to 15 kg of pulling force. The pulling force acts mainly vertically, and the pedal can be removed from the side almost without noticeable resistance. But even a quick and easy detachment directly upwards in critical situations is not a problem.
The pedals allow slight rotation of the shoe, thus protecting the joints when pedaling. It is also possible to change the position forward and backward without changing the pulling force, making it easy to find the ideal position for both ascent and descent.
Height: 17 mm (without pins)
Number of pins: 8 pins on each side of the pedal, replaceable
The stainless-special-steel insert can be mounted on any SPD-compatible cycling shoe using 2 screws in a matter of minutes. Unlike other systems, dirt is not an issue. In addition, the risk of tripping while walking is reduced, and walking comfort is significantly improved.
