The quick-drying Merino Shift fabric is a clever blend of merino wool and recycled polyester, supplemented with nylon fibers for extra durability.
The looser fit construction is complemented by an extended back panel for better coverage and side ventilation panels to dissipate excess heat.
A hidden sewn-in wipe is handy for cleaning glasses.
ZQRX certification ensures adherence to the strictest ethical standards for sustainability, fairness, and top quality, while the RX (Regeneration Index) reflects efforts to continuously improve water, soil, and air quality through farmers' activities.
Composition: 140 g/m2 Merino Shift, 52% merino wool, 35% recycled polyester, 13% nylon.
Merino is a breed or group of breeds of domestic sheep, characterized by a very fine soft wool. Garments made from this wool are very comfortable and non-scratchy. The structure of the fibre and the weaving technology create multiple "air pockets" and thus guarantee thermal comfort of the wearer. The pockets keep the air warm on the body and create very effective insulation. An important characteristic of Merino is also neutralisation of sweat and elimination of odour, which is why Merino wool is often used in winter sportswear.
Spandex, Lycra or elastane are synthetic fibers known for their exceptional elasticity. It is stronger and more durable than natural rubber. It is a polyester-polyurethane copolymer that was invented in 1958 by chemist Joseph Shivers at DuPont's Benger Laboratory in Waynesboro, Virginia. The advantage of spandex is its significant strength and elasticity, and the ability to return to its original shape after stretching and to dry faster than ordinary fabrics.
