The Orbea Orca is an ultra-light road bike born for climbs.
The feeling of such a light and efficient bike is unbeatable, and its immediate acceleration, vibration absorption, and precise handling are ensured by the frame itself, where the designers knew which part needed to be stiff and which light. This is the OMX Carbon frame weighing 1745 g.
Lightness alone isn't enough if the bike isn't sufficiently stiff and efficient. When designing the Orca, Orbea set a stiffness goal to ensure maximum power transfer even for the strongest riders. Then, Orbea focused on making the Orca as light as possible without sacrificing the required stiffness.
Achieving the low weight of the Orca required a focus on details and using the best materials throughout the range. Creating a light unit was made possible by the collaboration of component and bike developers, ensuring optimal stiffness and weight.
A light bike guarantees instant acceleration. When you pedal, you will feel the responsive and agile handling when cornering.
The rounder parts of the frame help reduce vibrations, conserve energy on longer rides, and give you an advantage on the final climb.
