The adapter is installed using an adhesive pad on the back of any phone case, making it compatible with Peak Design Mobile mounts and accessories. The universal adapter is 2.5 mm thick and is encased in a weather-resistant nylon shell. The adapter is thin, aesthetically clean, and uses 3M VHB material for a strong and durable bond. The universal adapter features a built-in magnetic/mechanical SlimLink™ lock. The adapter also works with Apple MagSafe accessories.
It can be attached to any case made of smooth, non-textured, and non-porous materials, such as hard plastic and metal. It is not recommended to attach it to soft or rubbery surfaces, such as silicone and leather, nor should it be attached directly to the phone. Wireless charging may not be possible with the adapter installed. The shell is made of nylon fabric, is 100% recycled, and is Bluesign certified. Dimensions are 5.6 cm x 5.6 cm x 0.26 cm.
The adhesive can usually be removed safely without damaging the surface or leaving residue. Hold dental floss between the adhesive pad and the phone/case and pull the floss in a sawing motion to break the adhesive bond. If adhesive residue remains, roll it off with your finger.
