POC Amidal is a road cycling helmet with a slim silhouette that doesn’t look bulky even on a smaller head, while still maintaining a stable shape. Safety is provided by a combination of Mips Air Node technology for improved protection against rotational impacts and an EPS impact-absorbing liner designed to effectively dissipate energy in a crash. Comfort on the bike is supported by optimized ventilation openings with internal air channels, so your head won’t overheat even at a brisk pace. A practical bonus is the option to mount a Knog rear light (light not included), making you more visible in traffic and at dusk.
The outer shell is made of polycarbonate (PC shell), which adds structural stability and protects the inner part of the helmet from damage. A 360° fit system ensures a comfortable, precise fit by wrapping the head evenly and helping prevent unpleasant pressure points. Impact protection comes from the EPS liner inside, complemented by Mips Air Node technology to increase safety in angled impacts. The weight also makes sense for sporty use: in size S the helmet weighs 300 g, in size M it weighs 310 g, and in size L it weighs 340 g; aerodynamics and ventilation were additionally tuned using CFD testing. The helmet meets EN 1078 certification and is intended for road cycling, commuting, and leisure, in a men’s/UNI version in white.
