POC Layer Cut Resistant Tights are made entirely from a cut-resistant material that combines UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene), polyester, and glass fibers in a durable double-knit construction. They protect the entire legs against cut injuries in a crash.
The double-knit fabric is durable and stable while remaining as flexible as possible to avoid restricting movement. The back panel is anatomically shaped so the main direction of stretch follows natural motion – it also supports the tucked racing position without compromising protection.
Flat seams minimize chafing during long training sessions as well as on race day. A wide elastic waistband with silicone grippers keeps the tights in place, and the thin mesh cuff with silicone at the calves doesn’t add bulk under socks and ski boots.
The tights are rated 4 stars according to FIS CRG 2021 and are designed for demanding speed racing skiing. In the event of an accident, the material can be stretched and cut to allow the tights to be removed safely.
