Ride Concepts Tallac Mid Clip BOA are versatile cycling shoes for trails and enduro.
The shoe upper is made of Cordura® material, which is breathable, lightweight, and abrasion-resistant. The seams are welded for maximum comfort, making the shoes more durable against damage and water penetration. The toe and heel of the shoe have TPU protection for added safety.
The shoes feature enhanced ankle protection with integrated D3O smart foam around the ankle and on the upper.
Clip Grip outsole inspired by outdoor footwear, with the front and rear parts adapted for walking in rough terrain. A plastic insert under the cleat area provides additional sole support. Midsole made of high-quality EVA foam.
Brand new closure technology BOA PerformFit™ Wrap, fastening with Velcro and a BOA dial. The tongue is attached to the shoe structure to stay in place.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
D3O® offers the thinnest and most advanced impact protection available. Their products are used around the world by military, professional athletes, industrial workers and everyday bike riders. D3O utilizes unique patented technologies to produce soft, flexible, speed-sensitive materials with high impact absorption properties, which are used in impact protection products. Based on non-Newtonian principles, the material's molecules flow freely in their raw form, allowing it to be soft and flexible, but lock into each other upon impact to dissipate impact energy and reduce the transmitted force.
BOA is a technology developed by Boa Technology Inc. This patented technology is based on three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial in the form of a rotating wheel, a thin extra-strong lace and low-friction lace guides. This system is an effective way to tighten shoes and other equipment across many sports (golf, winter sports, cycling, athletics, hiking, and others). Cordura is a collection of synthetic fiber-based fabric technologies used in a wide range of products including luggage, backpacks, trousers, military and functional clothing. Cordura fabrics are usually made of nylon, but can be a blend of nylon with cotton or other natural fibers. The history of Cordura dates back to 1929.
