Original RockShox 8 mm shock reducer inserts
The inserts (reducers) keep the shock in the frame at the correct width and with the correct bolt diameter. Over time, they wear out: then play develops, along with knocking or creaking at the mount, and the rear suspension stops responding sensitively. Replacing the inserts is part of regular shock service, especially after winter or when replacing bushings.
This 3-piece set consists of two side reducers and a center insert. It is designed for a shock eyelet with a 1/2" (12.7 mm) bushing and for mounting on an 8 mm diameter bolt.
