The Salewa Agner Hybrid is a men's down jacket made from insulating materials with a DWR water-repellent finish. High-loft 90/10, 750 fill power down is placed on the torso, back, and shoulders, while a stretchy, lightweight, rock-resistant softshell is used in areas where greater breathability and freedom of movement are needed.
The down sections are not stitched but bonded. They feature laser-cut perforations between the chambers, allowing active ventilation and air flow, letting excess body heat escape. The result is a high warmth-to-weight ratio and easy packability of the jacket.
The shoulders, side panels, hem, and hood are made from durable stretch softshell fabric Durastretch, which provides breathability and freedom of movement.
Fabric developed and patented by Dynafit based on high abrasion resistance. Products made of this light fabric are suitable for high-altitude climbing, trekking and hiking. Durastretch is a combination of nylon (polyamide) and a high content of stretch material. Most products made of this fabric are suitable for wearing all year round, thanks to the excellent sweat wicking. Cordura yarns are also woven in for abrasion resistance.
Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water repellent (hydrophobic). While the coating is effective, it also wears off and as such is recommended to be renewed/maintained with impregnating agents.
