The Pedroc hip belt is the ideal partner for your speed hiking or any other short adventures.
The hip belt features a Dry Back contact area with 3D ventilation channels, which improve breathability and overall comfort.
The unique, lightweight and strong Duralite fabric comprises a double ripstop polyamide structure that prevents abrasion and tearing without adding any unnecessary weight.
The belt is designed to fit comfortably around the hips and maintain stability even during more demanding activities. It is the perfect solution if you want to move fast and not carry unnecessary grams.
The belt is one of the SALEWA Committed products manufactured without PFC chemicals.
EVA, literally Ethylene-vinyl acetate is also known as Polyethylene-vinyl acetate i.e. PEVA. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, as the name suggests. The weight of the vinyl acetate component is in the range of 10 to 40% and the remainder is ethylene itself. Its physical properties is as an elastomeric polymer, i.e. a substance that excels in high elasticity. Thanks to its unique composition, it ranks among the most light yet flexible and soft materials. It is therefore not a classic thermoplastic, which is often commonly used for the production of many products around us.
Ripstop is a fabric with high strength, made using a special technique. Thin threads are woven into the fabric at a distance of 5-8 mm, giving it a articulated structure. This provides increased tear strength. In practice, it works by causing the tear to jam against the reinforced fibers which prevent it from continuing. Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War for parachutes.
