Men's softshell jacket designed for skitouring.
Made from robust and durable Durastretch material, which offers freedom of movement, breathability in all weather conditions, and moisture-wicking. The PFC-free DWR coating provides an additional layer of protection.
The jacket was designed with freedom of movement in mind. It prevents the hem from riding up when lifting your arms, for instance, during stretching. The snug-fitting hood and integrated collar fit under a helmet.
The design is completed with 2 zippered pockets, elastic cuffs with Velcro adjustments, and an elastic drawstring at the waist.
Composition: main material 1 - 67% polyamide, 21% polyester, 12% elastane; main material 2 - 66% polyamide, 23% polyester, 11% elastane.
Fabric developed and patented by Dynafit based on high abrasion resistance. Products made of this light fabric are suitable for high-altitude climbing, trekking and hiking. Durastretch is a combination of nylon (polyamide) and a high content of stretch material. Most products made of this fabric are suitable for wearing all year round, thanks to the excellent sweat wicking. Cordura yarns are also woven in for abrasion resistance.
Spandex, Lycra or elastane are synthetic fibers known for their exceptional elasticity. It is stronger and more durable than natural rubber. It is a polyester-polyurethane copolymer that was invented in 1958 by chemist Joseph Shivers at DuPont's Benger Laboratory in Waynesboro, Virginia. The advantage of spandex is its significant strength and elasticity, and the ability to return to its original shape after stretching and to dry faster than ordinary fabrics.
Durable Water Repellent (DWR) is a durable coating added to fabrics at the factory to make them water repellent (hydrophobic). While the coating is effective, it also wears off and as such is recommended to be renewed/maintained with impregnating agents.
