The men's Sella Merino Hybrid thermal mid-layer is made from Alpine Merino fleece for ski-touring and other winter activities.
The Sella hoodie is a very breathable and warm mid-layer. It is made from Alpine Merino Polarlite, which blends polyamide with merino wool.
The finely brushed inner material ensures a comfortable fit and prevents odour build-up. The jacket has two zipped pockets.
The jacket is a close-fitting and athletic piece of clothing with a hood. Freedom of movement is further guaranteed by the gusseted underarm sleeve construction.
Merino is a breed or group of breeds of domestic sheep, characterized by a very fine soft wool. Garments made from this wool are very comfortable and non-scratchy. The structure of the fibre and the weaving technology create multiple "air pockets" and thus guarantee thermal comfort of the wearer. The pockets keep the air warm on the body and create very effective insulation. An important characteristic of Merino is also neutralisation of sweat and elimination of odour, which is why Merino wool is often used in winter sportswear.
Polarlite is a fast-drying insulating fabric fleece material, developed by Salewa. Polarlite can be found in clothing for mountain activities where temperature, lightness and comfort reign supreme. In addition, the material is pleasantly soft. Polarlite garments are then very suitable as an insulating or second layer. However, they can also be worn as a first layer.
